Old St. Vincent's Catholic Church

In a word, Old St. Vincent Church is beautiful. The architecture, English Gothic Revival style, is breathtaking and rare. Very few churches of this style exist in America. It is most surprising that a church of this design was built in the small remote community of Cape Girardeau, Missouri in 1853.

That the architecture of Old St. Vincent Church is significant has been documented. However, there is something else about the church, something that cannot be physically touched, only felt. The gothic arches and gracious lines invite one to prayer and fellowship. Because of its history, Old St. Vincent's is a church for all of Cape Girardeau.
