This is a opportunity for those who love to sing to lead the congregation in singing furing Sunday Mass.

Current members of Old St. Vincent Church who cantor are Ellen Seyer, Donna Joplin, David Hajduk, Claudette Hency, and members of the
Notre Dame Regional High School Select Singers. 

Cantors must be members of the Old St. Vincent congregation.

"Who will hear the cry of the poor?" The Old St. Vincent Church and St. Mary Cathedral Food Pantry is located at the Fuerth house, 119 S. Spanish St., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.

Bereavement dinners are provided when a member of our congregation passes into eternal life. Members of the bereavement committee arrange for and order the food necessary as well as help with the preparation and serving of the meal.

Catholic Campus Ministry

Catholic Campus Ministry has a very rich and long history on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Founded in 1914 by twin sisters, CCM has grown from a small Catholic club into a substantial and influential ministry on SEMO’s campus.  In short, CCM can be defined by their Mission Statement:

Counters

An opportunity to serve Old St. Vincent Church by counting the money from the collection given during Sunday Mass.

Two people are needed to count, verify, and record the amount of cash given and to separate & band the collection envelopes
received.  This task is completed after Sunday Mass and takes approximately fifteen minutes.

Current members of Old St. Vincent Church who served as money counters are
Grace Sullivan, Priscilla Kirby, LaFern Stiver, and Betty Hopen.

Knights of Columbus

Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut state legislature on March 29, 1882, officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society.

Eucharistic Ministers

It is an honor and a privilege to assist the Celebrant at Holy Mass with the distribution of Holy Communion by giving out the Sacred Body and the Precious Blood of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
