Bereavement dinners are provided when a member of our congregation passes into eternal life. Members of the bereavement committee arrange for and order the food necessary as well as help with the preparation and serving of the meal.
Fr. Tom Kiefer calls the contact of the bereavement committee when he is told of a death of one of our members; and the committee immediately preps the meal which is usually served in the Huels Room of the St. Mary Cathedral Office Building. Members & non-members of Old St. Vincent Church are encouraged to volunteer their assistance in helping to serve during this time of family mourning.
